I would take off a star for the fact that they only gave one plantain, however they gave a nice portion of oxtails and the rice was so good. Sorry no photos. Really good!
This was my first time trying Caribbean Delight, and I was blown away. A friend kept raving about the place and treated us to take out from there. My meal consisted of oxtails and gravy, mac and cheese, white rice, and plantains. The oxtails were incredibly tender and flavorful and were perfectly complemented by the rich gravy. The white rice was perfectly cooked. The mac and cheese was creamy and delicious , with just the right amount of cheesiness. The plantains were perfect and added a sweet touch to the savory meal. Overall, Caribbean Delight exceeded my expectations. The portion sizes were generous, and everything tasted authentic and homemade. I will definitely be visiting Carriben Delight in person soon!
Wow! Just tried this place today for 1st time dinner. Really wish we'd taken a picture before we demolished it- but we were starving when we got our carry out home. Very well seasoned food. The best Caribbean food we've had to date,+ we love to try new foods. Small or large sized lunches & dinners available- I got small-shocked at how much food it was/easily 2 meals for me. Hubbie (big eater) ate all his/also a 'small' size but he was stuffed. I had goat curry (spicy/delicious) collards, rice & peas. He got jerk chicken+ same sides- both agreed we'd enjoy same entree again. Stopped by earlier today to look@ menu, ask questions & decided on dinner here- the staff was wonderful, helpful & courteous. Loved it here-great carry out spot. Frankly some people really care about their food and their customers, and are proud of the care they take- it really shows here! PS Parking in the back
Carribbean Delight delivers excellent Jamaican food. We devoured the ox tails, tender and moist. The collard greens were delicious on their own and with a dash of oxtail gravy was mouth watering. The macaroni and cheese just like we want it cheesy and tender macaroni. I ordered Jerk Wings and jerk chicken with cabbage and plantains, delicious. My wife and I love Jamaican food and CD is as good as we have had on many travels, excluding Jamaica. We called in our order and it was ready for pick up in 15-20 minutes. One star off only because I wanted to not over promise in my review. Service was fine and staff polite. Carribbean Delight is on Rivers Avenue way up Rivers, and don't let the drive or location fool you. Its great.
